How is Dance Arts Studio different from other studios?
Dance Arts Studio has been in business for over 50 years and prides itself in family oriented, wholesome, professional dancing. We do not put our dancers in revealing costumes nor do we choreograph performances with inappropriate and suggestive dance moves. All of our teachers hold a degree in dance. We use our older students to assist with larger classes, but they do not teach the class. We do not dictate to you the classes your student must take, you choose! We are always available to you for questions and comments. We are family!
How do I register for classes?
Dance Arts Studio has a dedicated parent portal which allows you to register for all classes! There is a link on the front page of our website or you can click HERE.
What can you do in the Parent Portal?
- Register for classes
- Setup automatic monthly payments
- Drop/Add Classes
- View your account balance
- Report your dancer’s absences
- Purchase tickets for performances
- Upload a picture of your dancer
Will my student be involved in dance competitions?
Only our studio performing companies participate in dance competitions. Membership in these two groups are based on auditions held in the spring for the following year. The general population of our dancers do not compete in competitions.
Besides monthly tuition, what other fees will I incur throughout the year?
There is a one time registration fee of $45 per family.
Recital costumes generally run between $40-$60 per class and money is due in January. Holiday Show costuming can vary from $0-$30 depending on your class.
There is a $50 recital fee per family, due in March, that enables us to produce the big spring recital. Because you pay this fee, we are able to keep ticket prices at lower price per seat for you, your friends and your family.
Dance Arts Studio accepts credit cards and ACH payments through your parent portal. If you would like to pay in cash, please visit us in the office.
What performances will my dancer be involved in?
Dance Arts Studio holds a smaller, more informal Holiday performance in December. This lets you see the progress your student has made! Some of the classes will participate in our “Holiday Showcase” which is held at the Broomfield Auditorium. Costume fees for these performances are minimal.
Our big Spring Recital is held in early June at the Broomfield Auditorium. This is a very professional performance with full costuming, lighting, and dancing! The performance is professionally videotaped and available to you to purchase. Our students and teachers work very hard in preparation of this performance! It is the “Grand Finale” of our Fall Season.
Does Dance Arts Studio dance all year long?
We dance for 10 months beginning in mid-August and conclude with our Spring Recital in early June. During the summer, we offer several opportunities for your dancer to keep dancing! We have workshops, camps and a 4-week session of regular classes, all of which are a wonderful opportunity for your student to try a new style of dance!
Our Fall Season loosely follows the school year. Registration opens on July 1st and we begin dancing in mid-August.
Our Summer Season begins after the Spring recital, around mid-June and concludes at the end of July. Registration opens on May 1st.
